וַיַּ֜עַל עַֽל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֣חַ ׀ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֣ה בְּבֵֽית־אֵ֗ל בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֨ה עָשָׂ֥ר יוֹם֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר־בָּדָ֣א מלבד [מִלִּבּ֑וֹ] וַיַּ֤עַשׂ חָג֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיַּ֥עַל עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ לְהַקְטִֽיר׃ (פ)
Ia mempersembahkan korban di atas mezbah yang telah dijadikannya di Betel pada hari kelima belas bulan kedelapan, yaitu bulan yang direka-rekanya dari hatinya sendiri. Ia mengadakan hari raya bagi orang Israel, lalu ia naik ke atas mezbah untuk membakar ukupan.
